About Lesson

Differentiating between Long-term and Short-term goals :

Long-term goals

Timeframe: Long-term goals are set for a more extended period, typically spanning months, years, or even decades.

Scope: They encompass larger achievements and overarching life objectives, such as career aspirations, financial security, or personal growth.

Focus: Long-term goals provide a big-picture view and guide your overall life direction. They help you plan for significant milestones.

Short-term goals

Timeframe: Short-term goals are set for a relatively brief period, often days, weeks, or a few months.

Scope: They address smaller, more immediate tasks or milestones that contribute to the fulfillment of long-term goals.

Focus: Short-term goals are more specific and actionable, focusing on what you need to accomplish in the near future to make progress toward your long-term objectives.

Understanding the role of each type of goal in your overall goal-setting strategy :

Long-term goals provide the “why” and the destination, while Short-term goals offer the “how” and the path to get there. Together, they form a powerful goal-setting strategy that keeps you motivated and on track.
